Hello reader! I'm Matt, and I live in Brooklyn.
For work, I run
Instant, a research lab building
tools
used by millions.
Before that, I was Head of Marketing at
Clay, where I built our entire marketing system (website, branding,
product-led motion, affiliate program) from scratch to $8.5M annual
revenue. I was also the first marketer at
Skiff (now Notion Mail).
Over the last few years I've backpacked through 40+ countries, living more in hostel dorms than my own apartment.
I'm also a competitive distance runner currently training for the 5km distance. If you're in the city, join me for a run.
I'm currently studying spirituality, consciousness, and philosophy from the perspective of indigenous cultures. This year I'm focused on deep systems ecology and cosmology.
I'm a big believer in experiential learning (gnosis) and go on multiple retreats a year. My next is an 11 day silent retreat focused on Taoism, Advaita Vedanta, and Dzogchen.
I care deeply about human rights and the environment, with the hope of contributing the best I can.
Some recent side quests have been performing stand up, ecstatic dance, learning Spanish, and photography (see a few below!).
